A man who tried to run over a cat in a viral video circulating online on social media has responded to his criticism online.
In a lengthy post on Facebook, the man (identified as Julian Leep) who is purportedly a church cell leader of City Harvest, said that he is “sorry and apologetic for what I have done and the hurt it has caused to many (sic)”.
He said that he did it out of “misguided fun” and that it was never his “intention to hurt the cat in any way.”
He added: “this incident has made me realise that my action is unbecoming of me as a small group leader in my church.”
He also added that: “I have brought disappointment to my family members especially when there were comments regarding my upbringing.”
The man promised to “learn from this lesson and remember never to do this again (sic)”.
