The woman’s dad leaves the dog at an animal shelter after a dispute and the woman has been trying all sorts of ways to get back her dog.

To all my fellow fur parents I would like to have a few mins of your time in reading this
I’m in a very unfair situation and I’m really troubled and need help and opinions
My dog Benji, who has been under my care and responsibility has been well-taken care of me, due to a dispute I have with my dad, my dad decided to have given up my dog to the dog shelter named OSCAS.
Here’s the story, Benji have never been neglected, but as he is not very well potty trained he would have accidentally done the mistake of peeing on table leg or table chair and my dad would get really mad about it and that’s whats cause him to actually given up my dog. for your info, we have been trying to potty train him well to pee at one spot and he has successfully done it but he isn’t neutered so he is more prone to making mistakes around the house as a nature of a dog he is as for story that my dad has given to the dog shelter its a different story where by my dog have been “neglected” by his daughter. which is not true at all.
Before I went down, with respect I have tried to contact them through an online platform.
They saw my message and did not reply left with no choice I went down to the dog shelter today as I only recently found out which shelter my fur boy is at and went down to try to speak to the owner of OSCAS. while speaking to the owner I got emotional and was at the point of begging to please at least help and understand my situation they turn their back on me and told me to not argue back but i wasn’t. even threaten me to call the police on me.
what did I do wrong ??..But Before that the owner of OSCAS saw me and did just closed the door on me, knowing i might be the owner of Benji. only then my friend was calling them with respect, “hello, hello” they came and straight say you’re looking for Benji right ? “ and so on she was very persistent in telling us that Benji was adopted and didn’t try to hear me out and then chased me away.
When my dog is injured I’m the one to worry and rush down down in the middle of the night 2-3 am to get i him checked. and also as for his food and daily necessities, I’m the one who took care of him. my dog has been very close to me and I treat him dearly as my own son. just because mistakes like pee and poop that bound to happen in the house doesn’t mean I have neglected him. I have since suggested to my dad that I’m moving out of the house so he doesn’t have to even worry about the dog poop or pee anymore but yet the next day he decided to bring my dog away while I was sleeping.
I know the paper have been signed and I thought at least a dog shelter would have a good heart in understanding what situation I am in and talk it out agreements but in the end, they didn’t even listen and just shoo me away. even tho they told me my dog is in a better home but with their attitude towards me, it’s just unacceptable. they didn’t try to even hear me out.
At this point, i have resulted to my last solution to get my dog back… by posting online
