Singaporeans looking to stretch their grocery budget will soon be able to enjoy discounts on two household staples.
DBS and POSB cardholders can receive up to S$6 off selected eggs and rice purchases every Saturday from 18 July to 29 August 2026 at participating Sheng Siong and Giant supermarkets islandwide.
The initiative forms part of DBS’ previously announced S$10 million support package aimed at helping customers manage rising living costs.
Under the promotion, shoppers who pay using any DBS or POSB credit or debit card can enjoy S$3 off selected egg products and another S$3 off selected rice products.
No Minimum Spend Required
According to DBS, there is no minimum spending requirement to qualify for the discount.
However, each customer is limited to one redemption per item per day, and the promotion is available while stocks last.
The offer cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts, vouchers or CDC vouchers.
At Giant supermarkets, the discount applies to Giant Farm Fresh Eggs (30 eggs) and Giant Jasmine Fragrant Rice (5kg).
At Sheng Siong outlets, shoppers can enjoy the promotion on Egg For You Fresh Eggs (30 eggs) and Happy Family Fragrant Jasmine Rice (5kg).
Part Of Cost-Of-Living Support Measures
DBS said the supermarket discounts mark the first phase of its S$10 million support measures announced earlier this year.
The bank noted that the latest campaign has been expanded compared to previous initiatives, with both Sheng Siong and Giant participating and more redemption opportunities made available.
Calvin Ong, Head of Consumer Banking Group at DBS Singapore, said the bank hopes the programme will allow more customers to benefit from savings on everyday essentials.
The promotion comes amid ongoing concerns about household expenses, with food and grocery costs remaining a key concern for many Singaporean families.
DBS also revealed that from September 2026, customers can look forward to a S$3 cashback programme through PayLah!, with additional details to be announced at a later date.
The supermarket promotion will run every Saturday from 18 July until 29 August 2026, while stocks last.
