According to him, he was unable to book a time slot for his CNY note exchange online. He called into DBS customer service hotline to get help on the matter. He was later notified that the booking system is base on first come first serve basis.

However, he was shocked to hear that the CSO allegedly blames the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for his unpleasant experience.

In his post:

“Tried to reserve new notes for CNY. Booking opens at 9 am. I log in at 9.20 am, all slots are taken! Called DBS and after a further 30 min of waiting, CSO says, sorry first come first serve. They put the blame on MAS, saying that new notes are controlled. They cannot open bookings earlier. Well done. Push the blame.”
