DEAD BODY OF 29 Y.O MAN FOUND AT RIVER VALLEY SHOPHOUSE, S’PORE POLICE INVESTIGATING

The dead body of a 29-year-old man was found at a River Valley shophouse on 26 September that is under renovation, according to Shin Min Daily News.

The construction workers returned to the construction site after the weekend to resume renovation works when they discovered the man’s body.

The police are investigating the incident.

The Wharf Residences

The incident happened on 26 September at The Wharf Residences, at 7N Tong Watt Road.

The workers had returned to the construction site after the weekends on MOnday and found the dead body in the backyard of the 3-storey building.

The deceased was believed to have fallen from height as he suffered from injuries that might have suggested that plausible cause of death.

The workers then informed the police, and at least 5 police cars and an ambulance were later seen arriving at the scene by witnesses.

One of the neighbours spoke to SMDN and said that the construction works at the site 0only started about 2 weeks ago.

The person who is in charge of the construction project also said that the deceased was not a worker, and that the premises were locked up before they stopped work over the weekends.

The site also appeared untouched and nothing was missing.

Police investigating

The Singapore Police Force confirmed that they were alerted to the case of unnatural death on 26 September at about 9.51am.

A 29-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from the SCDF, and the police have ruled out foul play after preliminary investigations.

Police investigations are ongoing.
