A delivery man was seen casually putting out fire after delivering a parcel, and he then continued on with his delivery route like it was just another day.
A netizen shared how she ordered a package from Shopee and it was delivered to her home by the delivery man on 5 May.
He left the parcel at her flat at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5, before leaving to continue on his delivery route.
The netizen’s sister then told her that there was a fire at the blue recycling bin behind their block, near the carpark area.
But nobody was reacting to the fire despite passers-by passing by a funeral at a void deck in the vicinity.
The netizen then called 995 to report the fire, just as her mother told her that the fire was being put out by a kind samaritan.
She then looked out and saw that it was the delivery man who had just sent her her parcel just moments ago.
He was seen trying to extinguish the fire with a water hose that he managed to get his hands on, and the fire was put out and he then left, before the arrival of the police and SCDF.
