Starting from 05 May 2020, The Circuit Breaker will be progressively eased as the number of community cases remains low. TCM halls and condo activities are the first to be allowed to resume their operations.

In regards to resuming the TCM halls operations, questions had been raised by Yishun GRC MP Lee Bee Wah to Minister of Health Mr. Gan Kim Yong in the parliament.
- Why are TCM halls not listed as part of essential services which are able to operate during the circuit breaker period as compared to the western medical centers?
- Why are TCM malls only allowed to operate needle acupuncture services but not resume the full operations of all services?
- Dessert shops are allowed to resume operations on 12 May 2020 but not for the rest of TCM halls without registered TCM practitioners. Is it because Chinese medicine does not taste better than ice cream?
