Wee Teong Boo, 67, a general practitioner, admitted to police that he had put his saliva onto his fingers before inserting them into her for an examination.
He stated in court that saliva has “anti-bacterial properties”, but he did admit that there was no excuse for using his saliva as lubricant when he insert his fingers in the patient’s private area. He even said in court that it is general knowledge that saliva has “anti-bacterial properties” .
He is charged with molesting the woman, then a 23-year-old student, at his Bedok clinic on Nov 25, 2015, and raping her on Dec 30, 2015.
His wife recently stated in court that Wee had erectile dysfunction and the there was totally no possibility of Wee raping the victim. But the issue was that Wee consulted a urologist in private practice on Jan 5, 2016, three days after he was released from police lock-up when he was accused of rape.
The trial continues on July 10.
