According to this TNP report from last Wednesday (Jan 24), the consortium that operates the National Stadium wants the Kallang arena to be the home of the national  team.

But what have Singaporeans witnessed so far?

1) June 2014:
The stadium reopened.

2) June 2015:
SEA Games held in 🇸🇬, but the home team DID NOT play any of its  matches at the National Stadium.

3) Jan 2016:
The Lions were supposed to host three teams for the Merlion Cup at the National Stadium, but the Sports Hub didn’t play ball with FAS. The latter couldn’t afford the stadium’s HIGH RENTAL COSTS, so the Merlion Cup was cancelled.

4) 2017:
Two out of the Lions’ three Asian Cup qualifiers were NOT held at Kallang.
