A dog owner posted on Facebook appealing for information and witnesses after their dog was hit by a car along Geylang Lorong 31 but drove away from the scene.
The incident happened on Wednesday (3 May) at about 9.30pm while their dog was out for a walk with a pet boarder (the owners were away on a trip and placed the dog under the care of the pet boarding service).
A car had suddenly hit the dog and fled the scene, with the impact being so great that the dog walker fell because she was holding on the dog’s leash, resulting in her being bloodied in the incident.
The dog had suffered multiple injuries, including a broken arm and chipped teeth, and is currently at the vet clinic waiting for his condition to stabilise.
The dog is also set to go through surgery today (6 May).
The owner was informed about the hit and run accident on Thursday (4 May) and is now appealing for video evidence of the accident, or witnesses, so that they can identify the hit and run driver.
