A man was recorded by a resident in Yishun after he spotted a man wiping a dog’s bottom after letting the dog poop in the roof garden and dispose the wipes at some plants.
The man was also smoking in the garden.

Penalties
Under the Environmental Public Health Act, it is an offence to leave behind your dogs’ poo and owners who do not clean up after their pets in public areas can be fined up to S$1,000 if caught.
Littering is an offence in Singapore and is defined as dropping, placing or throwing any article or thing in a public place except a rubbish bin.
Persons caught littering face a fine of up to $2,000 for the first offence as well as the possibility of Corrective Work Order.
