DOUBLE DECKER BUS CRASHED INTO CYCLIST AT ROAD JUNCTION

An accident involving an SMRT double-decker bus and a cyclist occurred at the junction of Marsiuling Drive and Admiralty Road on 9 November.

The 43-year-old cyclist was conveyed to the hospital conscious.

The police said that they were alerted to the accident at around 11.35 pm and an SCDF ambulance was deployed to the scene.

According to SMRT’s director of bus operations Lee Yong Heng, the bus driver has since been suspended from his duties.

Lee added that they have reached out to the family of the stricken cyclist to provide support and assistance and are working with the authorities on their investigations.
