The war in Ukraine continues as many more lives are lost under the orders of Vladimir Putin.
Russia continues to drop bombs onto the city of Mykolaiv on Saturday (March 29), with one of the deadly bombs landing on a military barracks located in the Southern part of Mykolaiv.
The soldiers were sleeping at the time but little did they know that they wouldn’t be waking up from this sleep.
The Ukrainian administration said that the attacks were so sudden that they didn’t have the time to sound the alarm and by the time they realized it, it was too late.
The bombing lead to the death of dozens of Ukrainian soldiers and there is no accurate death toll for the incident yet. New York Times reported that at least 40 soldiers are dead following the bombing.
Enormous Explosion
A resident described the explosion as being enormous, and reducing several building in the district to rubble.
One of the soldiers said that at the time of the bombings, more than 200 soldiers were sleeping inside the barracks.
He added that at least 50 bodies have been pulled out from the rubble of the barracks and they don’t know how many still remain under the debris.
