About 30 cans of condensed milk were opened, placed on the table in the hawker center overnight, and used to make tea, water, and hot coffee the next morning.
Most local food vendors have to get up in the morning and go to the stalls to prepare ingredients every day, so as to bring a warm heart-warming breakfast to the diners as soon as the day breaks.
The beverage stall at Tampines Hawker Centre seems to have overdone the preparation of their beverages. An elderly stall assistant in the shop was witnessed a few days ago opening about 30 cans of condensed milk one by one before closing it and neatly arranged them on the table in front of the booth.
A netizen surnamed Li who witnessed the passing said that there was no one around at the time. He originally thought that the uncle would put the condensed milk in the refrigerator, or at least move it into the stall, but the uncle immediately left soon after, making Mr. Li dumbfounded on the spot.
“He just placed about 30 cans of condensed milk on the table in the hawker center and didn’t take it in. It was believed that he is going to use it when the stall opens the next morning.”
The lid of the condensed milk tank was lifted, and the condensed milk inside was exposed. All night, it provided free meals for lizards, cockroaches, ants, and even mice in the hawker center.
One netizen even said “It takes only a few seconds to open a can of condensed milk. There is no need to do this.”
Some netizens also said that unless Mr. Li is in the hawker center all night, it is difficult to conclude that the condensed milk is left on the table overnight.
