DRIVER CAUGHT LITTERING, THROW CIGARETTE BUTT OUT OF CAR ONTO ROAD

A driver was caught littering – he was seen throwing his cigarette but out of his car window and onto the road.

The incident happened on 7 December at around 11.11pm, along Penang Road.

The driver of the vehicle, a Honda Stream, was seen filtering onto the right lane when the driver stuck his hand out of his car window.

He was then seen dropping a cigarette butt onto the ground before driving away, switching to the right lane.

The entire incident was caught on the dashcam of a car behind.

Potential penalties

Persons found guilty of littering face a fine of up to $2,000 for the first offence, a fine of up to $4,000 for the second offence and a fine of up to $10,000 for subsequent offences.
