DRIVER DAMAGES MOTORCYCLE, THEN OFFER MOTORCYCLIST $10 AS COMPENSATION

A motorcyclist returned to his motorcycle only to find that his bike had been damaged by a driver, as the visibly stressed motorcyclist assessed his damaged motorcycle.

The driver who had hit his bike, had apparently left behind a note with his contact number to the rider, as his friend (who was filming) assuaged him and told him to relax and call the driver first.

The motorcyclist then called the driver and asked him about the incident and what happened to his motorcycle, and he then told the driver “eh uncle, very serious leh, it isn’t a small damage.”

The driver then presumably told him that it was a small matter, to which the motorcyclist then replied “this isn’t a small matter leh uncle.”

He then asked the driver “then now you want me to do insurance claim or what?” to which the driver then asked for private settlement, to which the rider then said “okay, I’m very calm now (presumably in response to the driver asking him to calm down).”

The rider then told the driver that there were many damages on his motorcycle, and the driver then presumably told him over the phone that he will compensate him $10 for the damages.

The rider then retorted, “$10?! Uncle, you give me $10, what can I do with it? Give me $10 drink coffee? How about I give you $10 instead and you go and drink coffee?”

“$10 is ridiculous, seriously. Eh my motor I just spray painted recently only leh. $10 buey gam tiah lah uncle, really. help me a bit lah, this isn’t my fault leh. I’m giving you a way out leh, you know or not?”

The rider then told the driver that he doesn’t have any choice now but to call the police. He then asked the driver “if not, where are you? How about you come back here, and we settle here.”

The driver then presumably offered him the $10 compensation again, to which the rider told him that it was “ridiculous” and that the driver was being “too much” and pushing it. The rider added “the $10 I give you to go and drink coffee lah.”

“The $10, you now go and take Grab, the $10 I use it to help you pay lah.”

The driver then presumably asked him over the phone about the rider’s tone and him being angry, to which the rider told him “I’m not angry. Of course now that I see my damaged motorcycle, of course my tone will be a little harsh. But you tell me you want to pay me $10 for damaging my bike, it’;s ridiculous what.”

The driver then told him that he will come down to the accident site to settle the issue, and the phone call was then cut, to which the rider then lamented the situation “this is too much leh…” as he readjusted his motorcycle.
