He went to see what happened and found the driver unconscious after repeated knocks on the window.
He quickly called the police and ambulance, while another passerby (an ex-SCDF personnel named Taufiq) came to render assistance.
Erman wrote that when he saw the driver’s mobile phone’s wallpaper of his kids, it saddened him because it reminded him of his own children.
The Investigating Officer later called him to inform him that the driver had passed away.
