DRUGS DELIVERED TO WRONG UNIT, RESULTING IN ARREST

When we are young we often hear our parents say “Don’t carry anything for people in the airport” or “any drug more than the size of 20 cents coin is death penalty”.

A man who was sentenced to jail after his attempt to send drugs became an epic failure.

Channel News Asia reported that 37-year-old Marvin Chew Xuan was arrested after arranging for Lalamove to send drugs but the deliveryman send the drugs to the wrong unit.

Yahoo! News reported that Josh the man who was supposed to receive the package stayed along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 and was waiting for Lalamove to deliver the package.

However, the deliveryman did not deliver it to the correct unit and sent it to another floor. A woman who received the package open it up and realised that it could be something illegal and she contacted the Police.

Josh called the Lalamove deliveryman and he was told that the package could have send to the wrong floor. Josh went to another floor and asked the woman to return the package.

But the woman refused to do so, The Police eventually found 2.03 grams of methamphetamine in the package leading to the arrest of Chew.

Chew was sentenced to 2years jail while Josh was sentenced to 1-year jail.
