The court heard that the defendant, employed by a food company in Malaysia, started work at 5 pm. on June 29 to deliver 24 metric tons of frozen food to Singapore.
He hooked up the frozen container to the trailer, drank three cans of black beer, then slept in the vehicle before waking up at 9 pm and setting off to the customs.
The driver cleared customs despite being drunk, he suddenly cut into a lane but lost control and crashed into the opposite lane and hit a group of motorcyclists head-on.
