I was never the type of girl that dreamed of getting married one day.
I was always too busy focusing on my career and my studies to think about such a thing. But that all changed when I met my now-husband.
We met at a party, and I was a little drunk. He was a responsible guy who didn’t take advantage of me. Instead of bringing me to a hotel, he brought me to East Coast Park to sober up with the sea breeze.
That was the start of our story. We quickly began to date, and before I knew it, we were in a serious relationship. We had so much in common, and after spending more and more time together, I realized I was in love.
Three months later, he proposed. I was surprised, but I said yes. We were both excited and a bit scared. We both knew that marriage was a big commitment, and we wanted to make sure we were ready for it.
We decided to have a small private wedding ceremony with family and close friends. We wanted to keep it simple and intimate. We both agreed that marriage should be about the two of us, and not about the pomp and circumstance.
The wedding day was beautiful. The sun was shining, the sea breeze was refreshing, and we were surrounded by love. We said our vows and promised to be together for the rest of our lives.
The last two years have been amazing. I’ve learned so much about myself and my husband. We’ve had our ups and downs, but we’ve always been there for each other. We’ve grown together in so many ways and I’m so thankful that I married him 3 months after meeting him.
I never thought I’d be the type of person who would get married so quickly. But I’m so glad that I did. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m so happy I have my husband by my side.
