DRUNK MAN LIE ABOUT VACCINE STATUS & PUNCHED NEA OFFICER IN THE FACE

An unvaccinated man turned aggressive after he was caught lying about his vaccination status after entering a hawker centre located at Redhill and turned started attacking public servants.

The incident happened back in October 2021, 54-year-old Chua Soon Hean lied about his vaccination status and claimed that he forgot his TraceTogether token, claiming that he is there just to take away food.

But he sat down and drank alcohol with his girlfriend and friends, a spot check was conducted by NEA officers and they were told that a maximum of two pax were allowed a table, Chua complied and moved to another table with his girlfriend.

He was then checked for his vaccination cert but he did not have his TraceTogether nor his mobile phone on him.

He was then told to leave the hawker centre but Chua refused to cooperate and pushed one of the NEA officers, another officer tried to stop him but he was punched in the face by Chua.

Chua attacked again but the attack was blocked.

Investigations later revealed that Chua has lied and he was unvaccinated, he was eventually sentenced to 26 weeks in jail.
