A man in China was arrested after wrecking his former boss’ Mercedes Benz with an axe while being drunk, following a dispute over medical bills.
He was filmed in the act by onlookers, with the video being circulated online on social media.
The man, identified as Wu, was seen in the video wielding what looks like an axe, or a very long sledge hammer, and hitting the car with it as smoke started coming out of the vehicle.
Horrified onlookers watched on as Wu continued wrecking the car, and he was also seen stopping for a few moments to gesture and argue with them.
Huan Qiu Wang reported that Wu has purportedly been working for the owner of the Mercedes Benz as a driver, and got into a traffic accident.
It resulted in him sustaining an injury that led to a dispute with his now former boss over medical expenses incurred as a result of the accident.
Wu was drinking alcohol on 22 February before heading to his former boss’s shop while being intoxicated, before using the weapon to destroy the shop’s computer equipment, glass items and other things.
He also damaged a couple of other vehicles that were parked outside the shop, before turning his attention to his boss’ car.
He was subsequently arrested by the police for causing a disturbance and is in police custody as they commence investigations against him.
