DRUNK PRC JAILED FOR CHASING MAN WITH KNIFE @ YISHUN

According to a media release, 27-year-old Chinese national has been jailed for 14 months after he was found guilty causing hurt to others with a dangerous weapon.

The incident happened on the 03 Jul 2020 at a coffee shop located at Block 293 Yishun Street 22 around 1 am.

According to the court document, the man was drinking at the coffee shop alone after learning that his girlfriend was fired by her employer and has to return to China. After getting drunk, the man felt that someone was beating him.

The man then went home to change before he returns to the coffee shop at 1 am. When he returned, he approached the staff at the roasted meat stall. He then started asking the staff who beaten him and wanted the staff to compensate him with money.

Meanwhile, the man pulls out a knife from his back and place it at the neck of the staff. Luckily, the staff was able to escape after punching the man out of self-defence. The man did not stop there, he continued to pursue the staff asking him to find the man who beat him and threaten heck him if he did not follow his instruction.

The police were alerted and the man was arrested. The staff was later sent to the hospital for treatment and was given 2 days of medical leaves by the doctor.
