It’s was good friday night with my ex-classmates I had drinks and dinner nearby at Chinatown. As I promised my wife that I back home before midnight I just quickly finished the last drink and bid my classmates farewell promising them that i will stay longer the gathering.
In my rush, I decided to take a shortcut using the back alley to get the MRT which prove to be a mistake. I didn’t realise I was approaching this drunk man which walking unsteady. He was swearing loudly in a prc accent and I bumped into him. I quickly apologised and wanted to be on my way but i didn’t expect him to shout you Singaporean This is Chinapore this is my home how dare you bump me!
I was enraged but I guess it’s not worth to say anything or confront me so I just quickly walked away. Never again will I take the back alley of Chinatown even if I rushing for time!
