A parent was upset after a bike shop at East Coast park charge extra for the late return of the bikes and the cause of the late return is the bike being faulty. An overnight rental is $24, but the girls paid $35 for a rental that is less than 4 hours.

This incident happen to 4 12yrs old girls! My daughter and her 3 girlfriends rented bikes at a bike shop next to ECP Laguna Food court. The girls were late for 43 mins.
One of the girl’s bikes has gear issues halfway cycling and needed help to fix That’s why cannot get back on time.
Late charges below the receipt clearly state late charge SAME AS AMOUNT OF RENTAL. They rented at $20 for 3hr =$6.6 43mins late charge for 1hr. and by right should only pay for $6.70. Totally acceptable and agreed to the late pay.
But they were told to pay $15 for each bike. $15×4 =$60 clearly show they overcharge the girls 2 times more! $60 can be a child whole week allowance.
The girls were worried and terrified 3 of them didn’t bring enough money.
No adults with them at that point. They walked all the way to Macdonald to look to us to pay back her friends. The reason I was upset is that I don’t think this is RIGHT! To OVER charge 4 innocent young girls! 2 times MORE! Another friend rented there. Adult man rental OVER night only $24! Our little girls paid $35 each for 3 and 43mins.
