A car accident occurred in Potong Pasir this morning. The elderly man was hit by a car and suffered severe head trauma. Two doctors who were working in the vicinity came to his aid.
The accident occurred at 9am in the morning at a parking lot near Block 147 Potong Pasir Street 1.
A member of the public, Mr Zheng (age 75, retired) said that he heard someone shouting for help as he was purchasing food at a nearby coffeeshop.
Mr Zheng further stated that seven or eight members of the public came to the injured man’s aid which includes two doctors.
The two doctors were working in a nearby clinic and it was members of the public who alerted them. They immediately went to the scene to perform first aid for the elderly man.
A female driver who was believed to be involved in the accident looked nervous, and she was seen taking photographs of the scene.
The Civil Defence Force stated that the injured man was taken by ambulance to Raffles Hospital for emergency treatment.
