Weeks ago I wrote a feedback requesting a response but did not hear back from any SMRT staff at all. My mother was using the escalator at Raffles Place one early morning where suddenly without any warning nor announcements it was stopped abruptly causing her to almost fall.
One can simply imagine the disaster it might have become if an elderly were to be injured due to the negligence of your staff. Was it so difficult to make an announcement or put up a sign or simply check if anyone is riding up the escalator before stopping to service it?
Perhaps there are so many pressing issues that SMRT is facing therefore a feedback like mine is deemed redundant & not required to have any response.
Or perhaps SMRT finds that it does not have enough of bad publicity? I can’t imagine having to worry about my family & friend’s well-being when they use the public transport nowadays.
It was a test to my patience as I wait for weeks Fr a reply & have to resort to posting on Facebook in order to elicit some kind of response on what SMRT will do in future to prevent similar incidents from happening.
