According to a media release a former part-time actor has been jailed for 23 weeks in his involvement of trespassing and stealing.
The incident happened on the 15 Apr 2020, Lee Chee Kin, 39, had trespassed into the back of a house to steal women’s underwear for his collection. This is not the first time he has stolen women’s underwear from the property. He had trespassed into the same house on 5 different occasions between Nov 2018 to May 2019. In 6 months, he has stolen about 30 pieces of women’s underwear from that household.
The former actor has been charged with trespassing, theft and COVID-19 related offence.
Since 2018 he has been trespassing into 30 different properties to commit similar crimes. He will choose bras and panties to steal based on his liking to satisfy his sexual needs.
He committed the crime while out on bail, this is the second time he was caught for stealing women’s underwear. He was arrested after the owner of the property alerted the police.
During the court hearing, the prosecution had requested for the former actor to be sentenced to at least 6 months of jail. However, the defendant lawyer pleads for a shorter jail term between 3 to 5 months.
According to the law, anyone convicted for trespassing will face a jail term up to 3 months and fine up to $500. Anyone convicted for theft will face a jail term up to 3 years and fined.
