EX K-POP SINGER FROM BIG BANG JAILED FOR ARRANGING PROSTITUTION

Former K-pop singer from the band Big Bang, Seungri (his real name is Lee Seung Hyun) was sentenced to 3 years of jail on 12 August for multiple charges, including prostitution arrangement and illegal gambling.

He had reportedky arranged for prostitutes from Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong, among many others, for foreign investors over 5 months from September 2015, according to AFP and Yonhap.

He also misappropriated 528 million won (SGD $613,561) from club funds.

He left the industry in March 2019 after being involved in the “Burning Sun” sex scandal, which implicated many other celebrities.

Seungri was the owner of the Burning Sun nightclub where rape, prostitution and drugs ran rampant.

A girl was seen being assaulted inside the club in a video that went exposed them in January 2019.
