Mohammad Imran Sahib Mohamed Ibrahim Sahib, a 38-year-old ex-national player, was sentenced to 18 weeks of jail with a fine of $1,000 for molesting a woman who he met on tinder.
The incident happened in 2018, the man and his tinder date when clubbing with one other female friend. After clubbing, the accused sent both women back home in his car. While they boarded his car in the car park, the man kissed his tinder date’s friend forcefully and touched her inner thighs.
After his tinder date alighted, he once again molested the victim while driving towards Ang Mo Kio. The victim resisted and push his hand away. He then grabs hold of her hand and sucked on her fingers.
The man was later sentenced to 18 weeks of jail and fine for $1,000. The decision came after the judge takes into consideration that he is a first-time offender and also his contribution to Singapore’s sporting scene when he was a national player.
The man was unhappy about his sentence and plans to appeal against it.
