A 48-year-old man pleaded guilty to three counts of outraging the victims’ modesty for molesting school boys while he was in the office with them alone discussing about disciplinary issue.
The man was a former principal at school and his wrongdoing was discovered after some of the victims knows about what happen among themsleves.
According to a court docment, the victims were often called to serve detention in the general office. That was when the accused will take the chance to talk to the victims alone in his office and molest them.
The accused action came to light only after the victims found out what happened when talking among themselves. They then reported the incident to the operation manager which triggered an internal investigation. The man was later being reported to the Ministry of Education and a police report was made.
Investigation revealed that the man had commited the simiar act on 7 different students. The man was dismissed from service since 01 Jan 2018.
The man will return to court for sentencing on 06 Oct 2020.
For each charge of molesting a minior under 14, the man coud face a jail term up to 5 years, fine , caned or any combination of these penalties.
