Originally named the Orient Year Grand Prix, it wasn´t until 1965 that the race was renamed as the Singapore Grand Prix. Due to the danger and the inconvenience of having to shut down the roads for the event, it was discontinued for some years until 2008 when it made headlines for being the first Formula 1 night race.
Taking place on the Marina Bay Street Circuit, the race typically starts at midday GMT (8pm local time).
Lower tier tickets sold out
F1 is an expensive sport, each team needs between $150 and $400 million per year to run. A large part of this budget comes from charging venues that want to host F1 races.
These charges can be anywhere from $20-$75 million per race.
Most of the lower tier tickets are currently sold out on the official ticketing website.

High-end seats
The following prices are in US dollars, meaning the most expensive ticket will cost more than $10,000 Singapore Dollars.
Of course it features a VIP service which includes dinner and champagne.
