The scam comes in the form of a flyer claiming that you can get a $20 FairPrice voucher if you scan the QR code on it.

FairPrice will like to clarify that this is a scam and that they are currently not running any promotion at the moment.

Here is the post

We have been informed of a printed flyer of unknown origin featuring a FairPrice voucher giveaway and a QR code that leads to an online financial survey.

NTUC FairPrice is currently not running any promotion that requires users to complete a survey to obtain gift vouchers. We would like to clarify that this flyer and its attached promotion is neither created nor endorsed by FairPrice.

An image has also been circulating on Whatsapp this afternoon with a message that says “If you receive this in your mailbox please do not scan is a scam” along with an image of the said scam poster.

The message has a “forwarded many times” label which indicates that the flyer has been circulating on social media for a while.
