FAMILY LIVES IN FOREST FOR 3 YEARS NEAR LIM CHU KANG CEMETERY

According to the media release, a man was spotted living in the forest near Lim Chu Kang cemetery for a period of three years together with his wife and his son.

According to a charity group Project Hills, they are alerted about the family of three. Upon learning the news, they immediately pay them a visit and notice that the family is living in a bad living condition.

The 50-year-old man ‘Ah Di’ has unstable income, he does maintenance work for the graves in the cemetery for a living. Each time he charged $25 for his service.

He has built everything from scratch which consist of the sleeping area, a simple toilet and a well for water. The family only have a small generator in their possession to provide them with electricity.

‘Ah Di’ had applied for a flat which is already approved. However, due to a permit issue, both his wife and his son have to head back to Indonesia. They have not moved into the new flat and ‘Ah Di’ himself is still living in the forest for the time being.
