According to the Los Angeles County Police Department, officers responded to a call from a passerby at around 3:30 pm on the 18th, reporting a woman walking with a sword. When police arrived, they found the suspect, who had blood on her hands and a wounded right leg, standing near a truck. She initially gestured to the officers to stay back, seemingly intent on displaying the sword, but quickly surrendered after being ordered to drop the weapon.

The suspect then led the police to a nearby residence, where they discovered another woman with multiple stab wounds, who had already succumbed to her injuries. A third woman, who was not injured, was also found at the scene and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

The motive behind the deadly violence remains unclear, as the suspect can only communicate in Chinese, hindering the investigation. “We’re still trying to piece together what happened,” said Officer Vizcarra at a press conference. “Preliminary investigations suggest that it may be related to a family dispute, but we can’t confirm that yet due to the language barrier.”

The incident has sent shockwaves through the tight-knit Chinese community in San Gabriel, and authorities are working to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic event. As the investigation continues, the police are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in their efforts to uncover the truth behind this senseless act of violence.
