A father whose son is a slow learner and not doing very well in school, is asking for advice on “how to make (his) son intelligent”.

1. Support him in discovering an interest or his passion, guide him to opportunities on this path and encourage him to pursue and not give up
2. He’s probably not seeing the importance of studying yet or math, language, and science aren’t his interest. Can consider letting him try out art, programming, etc and find his interest then focus on that.

4. how bright were u in school? if u have to ask it’s almost as if u dont know ur son’s strengths. not every kid is academically inclined. also, as a parent u should know which approach works best with your own kid. studying is not all about memorising and regurgitating info.
5. Make yourself smarter first, then you will have no trouble helping your child. If you can’t… use those other techniques suggested by others on yourself first lor… if they don’t work on you, would they work on your child?
6. So? Slow and poor results so what? Get a degree or ITE certificate determines how much he will make in the future? Wat is impt, that he is healthy and grow up in the right mindset and not commit suicide due to academic stress. I have 2 daughters in their teens (both in secondary), i let them pick their own path in life.
   Ultimately flipping a burger in macs or representing a plaintiff in the court it is entirely up to them.
