Facebook satire and meme page, Singaplex, posted a meme on their page a couple of days ago that was allegedly poking fun at the victims of the Tanjong Pagar car crash that saw 5 people dead and left 1 in critical condition in the ICU.
Singaplex posted a meme with the caption:
ME AND THE BOIS AFTER EATING KOREAN BBQ IN TANJONG PAGAR DURING CNY BE LIKE
And accompanied the caption with four race cars getting ready for a drag race.
The caption was purportedly referencing the alleged activities that the deceased were partaking in before their fatal joyride that led to the crash.
They also captioned the post:
ride or die
Naturally, the comments have been largely negative, with many netizens calling them out for being insensitive and that this meme was made “too soon”.
