Ahmad Danial Mohamed Rafa’ee and Ragil Putra Setia Sukmarahjana were charged in 2020 of the murder of Felicia Teo in 2007.
36-year-old Ahamad was charged with the suspected murder of the then-teenager on 17 December, while 32-year-old Ragil remains at large.
On 24 May, Ahmad appeared in court via a video feed, and his lawyer requested an adjournment of his case, and he will be further remanded before returning to court in July.
He was previously remanded on 7 Jan 2021 for psychiatric assessment following the culmination of police investigations.
Ragil is believed to be overseas and has yet to be found.
Background
Felicia Teo Wei Ling, then 19, went missing on 29 June 2007, and was seen on CCTV entering a lift with two men at Block 19 Marine Terrace.
A missing persons report was lodged by her mother on 3 July that year.
Both Ahmad and Ragil were questioned but no links would be found between the two of them and Teo’s disappearance, and the case was classified as a missing persons case.
The case was then transferred to the CID in 2020 and they had a breakthrough, finding belongings that were believed to have belonged to Teo at the time she went missing.
Ahmad and Ragil were the last people seen with her before she was reported missing, and they were subsequently accused of murdering her at Block 19 Marine Terrace.
The trio were believed to be friends who studied at Laselle College of the Arts.
Ahmad was arrested in December 2020, while the manhunt for Ragil continues, along with the search for Teo’s remains.
