A 77-year-old man was arrested by the Police after he fought another at Bendemeer Food Centre.
The 77-year-old allegedly wield a chopper during the altercation, onlookers reported the incident to the Police but when the Police arrived both men were no longer on scene.
The Police reviewed the CCTV footages and managed to arrest the 77-year-old man. Investigations revealed that the man swing the chopper at the other man but failed to hit the other man.
The man will be charged with criminal intimidation and possession of an offensive weapon.
If he is found guilty of criminal intimidation he can be jailed up to 2 years and/or fine.
For possession of offensive weapon he can be jailed up to 3 years and or cane up to 6 times. As the man is above the ages of 50 he cannot be canned.
