i dont understand abt both authorities, malaysian as well as sg
since 1970s, the crowd at woodlands checkpoint
however, these decisions took both sidkpoints especially during the weekends or public hols, is unacceptable, hence both sides realised that a second link is necessary, and started to construct it in the 1990s, but again the main problem is at woodlands checkpoint, so both sides upgraded the ICQes decades to decide and agree
the statistics are there for both to see and study, but the handling on the ground as well as the infrastructure to support the growth somehow rather slow, too slow
as any social scientist wld point out, any crowded places and any strain on easing it, wld contribute a human psychological and worst emotional flare-up
the way i see it, the problem of helping normal pple to cross the border isn’t seriously considered, but the political gains are the prime considerations
i hope both sides look again on this and seriously please, no political agenda please, just to facilitate the human traffics
