A fire broke out earlier today at a coffeeshop located at Block 18, Jalan Membina, at Tiong Bahru.
Happy Hawkers Coffee Shop, the affected premise, was seen engulfed in flames as thick black smoke billowed out of the coffeee shop.

No injuries were reported and everyone was evacuated safely.
Tanjong Pagar MP, Indranee Rajah. shared a post about the fire, as well as pictures of the SCDF at the scene and herself addressing the workers of the coffeeshop.
She said that she was checking in on the workers at the coffeeshop and that she told them to let her team know if they need any assistance.
SCDF said that the fire involved a kitchen exhaust duct at the coffee shop and was extinguished using 2 water jets.
Investigations into the fire are currently still ongoing.
