Worker Party MP Pritam Singh shared a fire incident that happened on 7 Aug 2020 at Block 111 Bedok Reservoir Road.
According to MP Pritam Singh, the affected unit belongs to an elderly couple. At the time of the incident, the elderly couple was assisted by their neighbour’s son and both of them are uninjured.
The elderly couple will be moving in with their daughter while the repair work is done for the unit.
The SDCF were alerted at 7.10 pm and 40 residents were evacuated. The fire was put out before Pritam Singh arrival.

” Received a heads-up about a fire this evening at Blk 111, Bedok Reservoir Road. An elder gentleman was assisted out from the affected unit by his neighbour’s son, Rueben. The elder gentleman is fine. Both he and his wife will reside at their daughter’s place while repairs are undertaken to their unit.
The SCDF team had put out the fire by the time I arrived. Thank you. Thank you also to the police and the HDB for your assistance, including Aljunied-Hougang Town Council officers Jason and Andy for your support. A special thank you to our foreign workers who were helping rid the unit of water used to fight the fire as the stagnant water was beginning to seep into the unit below.
