A fire broke out earlier today at a HDB flat in Bukit Panjang and 10 people were evacuated as a result.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that the fire (at Blk 419 Fajar Road) started from the bedroom.
A video of the fire taken from opposite the flat showed thick black smoke billowing fiercely from the unit as the flames visibly raged on.
The SCDF said: “SCDF conducted forcible entry into the unit and extinguished the fire using one water jet.”
No injuries were reported from the incident.
