Facebook user Noel Chern, a Foodpanda rider (presumably) shared a lengthy Facebook post detailing his experience witnessing a dog hit by a car, the car left without stopping.
Judging by the post, we assume the incident happened here in Singapore.
Chern tried to stop the traffic and attempted to save the dog, other passing Foodpanda riders also stopped to render assistance.
Chern said that the dog was still breathing when he called the ambulance, but it stopped respiring after about a minute – They then placed the body of the dog inside a “gunny sack”.
The dog’s collar caught Chern’s eye and he noticed a phone number on the tag, he called the number and duly found out that it was the owner of the dog on the end of the line.
He highlighted that the owner cried, and Chern wished there was something we can do but the dog had already passed away.
Apparently the dog ran away because the owner’s house gate was loose.
Chern revealed that the owner shared with him that he’s had the dog since it was a puppy.
