On multiple occasions a 24-year-old stole milk powders from supermarkets to sell online. Since the 30th of October, the police have received multiple reports from various supermarkets of the theft.
The suspect is from Indonesia and a currently a PR in Singapore. He normally commits his crime in HDB areas in Bishan and Toa Payoh from NTUC and Sheng Siong supermarkets.
According to reports, he would always steal at least 6 tins of milk powder. It is not easy to bring this amount of milk powder out discreetly as the tins are normally quite big. Therefore, he would make multiple trips coming in and out of the supermarket.
After stealing, he would use his handphone and take pictures of the milk tins and post in on Carousell.
This year alone there is at least 6 milk powder theft cases.
He is looking at somewhere at around 7 years for stealing some milk powder.
