Rasheed Muhammad, 45, and Ramzan Rizwan, 27, came to Singapore from Pakistan. They earn money by selling tissue papers in public.
Their stay in Singapore reached an end when they murdered a comrade who owed them cash over gambling. They were sentenced to be hang by the courts today.
On 11 June 2014, Rasheed and Ramzan covered Mr. Mohammad Noor in his room at their hotel house in Rowell Road. They stole $6,000 from the casualty, sawed off his legs and pressed his body into 2 bags.
One of the bags was left at the Jalan Kubor Muslim Cemetery close Victoria Street. When they attempted to convey the second bag to a similar area, one of the wheels broke and blood started trickling out of it. Both men fled and surrendered the case.
Hours after the fact, an 81-year-old man found the pack and attempted to push it to a police headquarters.
A few passers-by went to help him, however, when they realized there was a body inside, one of them called the police.
The pair were captured the following day and Rasheed drove police to the pack containing the casualty’s legs in the graveyard.
