2 Sent to Hospital After Dispute Involving 2 Women and 1 Man at Chinatown Massage Parlour
Two people were taken to hospital after a dispute involving two women and a man unfolded at a massage parlour in Chinatown on Thursday afternoon (Jul. 2).
Videos circulating on social media captured a commotion inside a unit at People’s Park Complex, drawing the attention of bystanders and prompting a response from the authorities.
In one of the clips, several individuals could be seen involved in a heated confrontation inside the premises, while others nearby attempted to intervene and restore order.
Witnesses Heard Woman Shout ‘My Friend Is Pregnant’
During the incident, a woman was heard shouting, “My friend is pregnant!” as tensions continued inside the shop.
Footage also showed bystanders trying to separate those involved, while others urged for assistance to be called.
The situation reportedly caused a disturbance within the massage parlour, with furniture appearing displaced as the commotion unfolded.
Several people were seen leaving the area while others remained behind as the dispute continued.
Police And Paramedics Responded To Scene
Police officers and paramedics were later seen outside the massage parlour, which has been identified as Beijing Royal Massage at People’s Park Complex.
Images from the scene showed officers speaking with individuals believed to be connected to the incident, while medical personnel attended to those involved.
A stretcher was also spotted at the location during the response.
According to a witness quoted by Chinese-language media, the man involved was frequently seen at the establishment and was believed to work there.
Staff Decline To Comment On Incident
When reporters visited the massage parlour the following day, staff members reportedly described the matter as an “internal dispute” and declined to provide further details.
They also did not comment on the circumstances that led to the incident.
In response to media queries, the Singapore Police Force confirmed that a police report had been lodged regarding the matter.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it received a call for assistance at about 2.30pm on Jul. 2 at 1 Park Road, the address of People’s Park Complex.
SCDF added that two people were conveyed to Singapore General Hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
