FULLY VACCINATED RESIDENTS MAY BE ABLE TO GATHER IN GROUPS OF 8 FROM END-JULY

According to a media release, Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung stated that certain measures such as the gathering of up to 8 people may be allowed if the nations vaccination leave hits 50% of the population.

The current vaccination rate in Singapore has hit almost 40% and the government is working on increasing more people to take up the vaccination.

Ong added that he will be pushing harder to encourage senior residents in Singapore to take up the vaccination as they the most vulnerable individuals in relation to Covid-19.

MOH release a media release stating that “As Singapore’s vaccination coverage continues to increase, we will introduce differentiated safe management measures for vaccinated persons”

If Singapore hits a 50% vaccination rate we are expected to see the following measures adjusted:

  • Social gatherings increase to a maximum of 8 pax
  • Dining out for those that are fully vaccinated (both jabs) maximum of 8 pax
  • Those who have not to complete the vaccination will allow up to 5 pax
  • Full vaccinated people can attend events, weddings of up to 500 pax
  • Working from home will remain as the default, the workplace must hit a certain percentage of fully vaccinated employees to return to the workplace.
