Photos emerged online on the Facebook page 波王Paul-238 showing a pile of red chips stacked on top of a casino table, with each chip worth RM10k.
According to The Rakyat Post, a Malaysian news website, the total amount of chips on the table amounted to about RM7 million.
The Facebook page captioned the photos, saying that the gambler won 27 consecutive rounds and took home about RM5 million, meaning he started with a capital of RM2 million.
In a photo shared by the Facebook page, the minimum buy-in at the table was RM1,000 and the maximum was RM 300,000.
Another photo showed stacks after stacks of RM50 and RM100 notes on a bed after the gambler had cashed in all his chips.
Netizens were unmoved by the claims and asked for proof of authenticity, with some calling it a publicity stunt.
Others highlighted the dangers of carrying so much money around.
