The 47-year-old woman, Clariel Griffin, whose previous name was Wong Pei Ling, was charged with one count of public nuisance, one count of using criminal force on a public servant, and one count of an offence under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) Act.

The 55-year-old British man, Clive Ainsley Griffin, is being charged with one count of being a public nuisance and one count of an offence under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) Act.

The Singapore Police said in an earlier statement that three SDAs who were attached to the Singapore Tourism Board, had advised the couple to wear their masks properly at the time of the alleged incident in September 2021.

The couple then allegedly confronted the SDAs and refused to adhere to their advice despite being told to do so repeatedly.
